Nithya Menen, who has taken a break from Telugu films, is all set to come back with a couple of projects that have mostly woman-oriented subjects. According to a source, the actress may play the lead in the Kannada hit film U-Turn that is going to be remade in Telugu.
It was earlier reported that Samantha was doing this film, but it seems she dropped out. “It has now come to Nithya Menen, who is interested to do the film, but waiting for clarity about the project,” says a source.
In the meantime, producer K. S. Rama Rao has approached her for another woman-oriented drama. Both of them had worked together earlier in the successful film Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju.
“The producer is going to introduce a new director and has already narrated the story to her, which she liked. They are developing the story and it may start after some time,” adds the source. The actress’ last film was Janatha Garage, where she was paired opposite Jr NTR.
