Actress Mehreen Kaur is super excited about starting a new chapter in her life, with her engagement to Congress leader Bhavya Bishnoi at the Alila Fort in Jaipur on Friday evening.
Talking about the event, Mehreen’s mother Pammi Pirzada says it was an emotional one for the family.
Talking to us earlier in the day, Pammi explained that the engagement ceremony would be held in traditional Punjabi style, with just family members and close friends present. She said the event would be held in keeping with all the COVID-19 protocols.
“We have around 150 guests. We have arranged for COVID tests to be conducted at the venue too,” she revealed.
The venue is a “no-phone” zone. “We wanted only our photographers to share the beautiful pictures of the couple. So we have asked everyone to refrain from clicking photos,” Pammi said.
Pammi’s parents have gifted their granddaughter a Kada or bracelet, with the word ‘Meher’, which means ‘forever’ in Punjabi, written on it.
