It looks like actress Raashi Khanna is spreading her wings quite far. After becoming a sought after name in Tollywood, the actress recently made her foray into Tamil cinema. And now, we have learnt that she’s set to make an entry into Malayalam too with actor Mohanlal’s upcoming film with director B. Unnikrishnan in which she’ll be seen as a cop.

And apparently, there’s going to be no romantic angle. “The film is a suspense thriller where Mohanlal plays a retired cop. Raashi has been roped in to play a cop and she’s going to be seen in quite a daredevil avatar. The film will have a set of people playing the lead and she is one of them,” reveals a source in the know.

Interestingly, Raashi earlier donned the khaki in director Anil Ravipudi’s Supreme. However, her role in that film was totally comical but the Malayalam film will apparently show her in a never-seen-before avatar, and a serious one at that.

The film stars Vishal, Hansika Motwani, Srikanth and several other well-known actors from the Tamil and Malayalam industries. The shooting of the film will begin towards the end of February.
