In Rakshasudu, Ramesh has retained some scenes and background score from the original movie.

Ramesh Varma has every reason to be the elated filmmaker he is today. His recent release Rakshasudu, starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas, a remake of Tamil film Ratsasan, has been appreciated not only by those in the industry but also by the audience. “It is very gratifying to see the film being appreciated for its gripping narration. My last few films did not do well, and I’d made Rakshasudu whole-heartedly with an intention of genuinely telling an interesting story,” states the director.

In Rakshasudu, Ramesh has retained some scenes and background score from the original movie. “I didn’t want to hamper the essence of the original, and now when people are appreciating the film’s music and screenplay, I feel vindicated,” he adds. Admitting that the success of Rakshasudu is significant in his career, the director says, “More than the success, the contentment that I get for making an honest film is beyond anything.”
