I want to take a break to rejuvenate: Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul Preet Singh, who is shooting for multiple films simultaneously, confesses that she is homesick.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh has been living out of her suitcase lately. With as many as four films, the Spyder star has been travelling extensively over the last three months.

“I spent a month in July in London for my Hindi film starring Ajay Devgn, and from there I went to Ukraine for my Tamil film. After coming back to India, I have been shooting in Chennai and other places,” she reveals, adding, “I feel homesick and am waiting to come back to Hyderabad; I can’t wait to eat home food. In fact, I am pleased to learn that a schedule from one of my current films will commence soon in Hyderabad.”

Interestingly, Rakul has been on a signing spree in Tamil. “It’s a coincidence,” she replies, adding, “Although I heard the narrations of the various projects at different times, strangely, all the films are materialising at almost the same time.” Amidst such chaotic and uncertain shooting schedules, what keeps the actress going?

“I am passionate about films, and can do four films simultaneously only because I am excited about my work. But I want to be selective and slow down after I wrap up my current commitments. I want to take a break soon to rejuvenate,” shares Rakul, who is all praise for director Selvaraghavan’s style of filmmaking in her forthcoming film.

“As an actor, we get used to a certain style of working to approach a scene. But the way Selva sir conceives a scene is different and interesting; he is known to bring out the best out of actors,” she shares, adding, “He follows a three second rule it means the actor should wait for three seconds (after the director shouts action) and then deliver the lines. The idea is to give enough time for the actor to deliver the lines in a natural way.”
