I am keen observer of South films'

Angad Bedi talks about his Telugu debut

Angad Bedi, like many others, was hooked by the interesting way Nani’s film under director Shouryuv was announced. “I am a keen observer of South films and the way the film was announced really was touching,” says the actor. And now, he’s a part of that very film. While casting for the film was in progress, Angad was approached for a pivotal part. He liked the story and thought it would make a great debut in the South. “Much to my shock, the director told me that he had been trying for six months to bring me on board, but had been told that I wasn’t keen to do a South film,” said the actor. “But he was sure that he needed someone like me — and look how things turned out,” he adds. Apparently, the unit had seen Angad’s earlier work and was impressed. “If a project is meant for you, the Universe will align and support you,” Angad asserted, sharing the back story of his inclusion in the cast.

Angad is new to Telugu, but he found his own way to deal with the language. He repeatedly listened to his lines, understood the meaning and worked on the diction. Noting that Telugu stars like Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu and Nani, have made it big in cinema, he says he hopes to be part of their films too. The Lust Stories 2 star has already shot some portions of the film in the Hyderabad and Goa schedules. He will resume the shooting in Coonoor later this month. “I am looking forward to debuting here. This is a new industry and I hope to do more films in other languages,” he says.
