Actor Nani will reprise Simba in the Telugu version of the animation film, Lion King. “When I acted in Rajamouli’s Eega, I wanted to lend my voice to it. But that film had no dialogues. But I did get to dub for Awe, and now am doing it for Lion King. Of course, I am very happy,” says Nani.
The actor also revealed that he was initially intimated when he knew that seniors such as Ravi Shankar and Jagapathi Babu also lent their voices to the film.
“They are on the top and I thought my voice may seem low key between theirs, but I knew I wanted to do it anyway after watching couple of scenes from the movie,” adds Nani.
Comedians Brahmanandam and Ali have also lent their voices for the film. But Nani says that they are actually important in the film and definitely believes that whenever their voices come on, it’s going to be a complete laugh riot. “Generally, people prefer to see the original English version of the film, but I plan to take my son to watch this Telugu version. After all, I did this voiceover for him,” says Nani, signing off....
