After Baahubali 2, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the Anushka Shetty and Prabhas have become a popular onscreen couple nationwide. And so, the makers of Prabhas’ next film, Saaho, plan to cash in on the pair’s chemistry. It is also believed that it has been extremely difficult to finalise a leading actress for the action-drama.
“The team was in search of a Bollywood actress initially. However, there were multiple issues right from very high remuneration to the dates. So the filmmakers decided to go for an actress from the South,” said a source.
“Whoever is the lead actress in Prabhas’ film, she will have to begin shooting at the earliest. Many of the leading ladies do not have time as they are busy with multiple projects,” added the source. This is another reason why Anushka could be seen sealing the deal as she’s extremely choosy about her films and isn’t working on anything currently, apart from Bhagamati. “She is a strong contender becasue Anushka has now become a familiar face in Hindi too,” said the source.
