Vijay Deverakonda to play a key role in 'Mahanati'

The film Mahanati, a biopic on yesteryear actress Savitri, will now feature another talented actor.

According to a reliable source, Vijay Deverakonda is going to play a key role in this bilingual, releasing in both Telugu and Tamil.

Meanwhile, the filmmakers have already announced actresses Keerthy Suresh and Samantha apart from actor Dulquer Salman as the main cast of the film.

Directed by Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subramanyam fame, the film is being produced by Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi banner. “Vijay is going to star opposite Samantha and though the story is based on Savitri’s life, the director has taken a few liberties to make it more cinematic,” adds the source. Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Savitri, while Samantha plays a journalist.
