Naveen's back with a love story

After his last two movies didn't do well, the actor's wait for the right script now ends with Chandamama Raave.

After taking a small break, Naveen Chandra of Andala Rakshasi fame is coming back with the love story Chandamama Raave. “This is an interesting love story directed by twin brothers Dharma and Raksha,” says Naveen.

He adds that the duo had been wanting to work with him for a long time.
“They had worked earlier with many directors… they were the writers for Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra,” says Naveen, adding, “Initially I was doubtful because the mindsets of two people are always different, but both of them are very clear and share the same thoughts.”

“There are three shades in the film that show the three different stages of life,” he says, adding that one should not compare the film with Premam, which has the same premise.

“Both are different as that film is related to the lead actor’s life while my film is about the lead pair. How they transformed their lives and how they live up to it and finally what the woman wants is the subject,” says Naveen about the film.
The actor adds that he does not want to repeat his earlier mistakes.

“That’s the reason I waited for this script though a few people had approached me with regular stories. I don’t want to repeat the mistakes I had done, so I waited for the right script,” says the actor.

The film’s shooting was completed on Tuesday, Naveen informs. “First we shot in Gangtok at -5ºC, then we shifted to Goa, where it was above 40ºC, and then to Hyderabad which was hotter than Goa. We shot at different climatic conditions and I enjoyed it,” he says.

Malayalam actress Priyal Gor, who made her debut with the Telugu film Saheba Subramanyam, is playing the female lead. After this movie, Naveen Chandra is going to start Burra Katha in which Sunny Leone has a cameo. “This year I want to release three of my films,” he says.
