Producer Dil Raju has got a bumper offer from a private channel for his upcoming film V, according to a source.
Shooting of the film directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna and starring Nani, Sudheer Babu and Aditi Rao Hydari has been completed, and it was supposed to hit theatres in the beginning of April.
However, this couldn’t happen because of the lockdown. The source says “Amazon has offered Dil Raju '35 crore to release the film on their channel instead of waiting till theatres reopen. But the producer is undecided.”
Dil Raju wants to wait till next week to take a decision, as he wants to know government’s plans regarding the lockdown. “If the government decides to continue the lockdown for a few more weeks, then he may think about the offer,” added the source.
However, the stars are against releasing the film on private channels as they feel that their popularity will decrease if their films are not released in theatres.
“Nevertheless, the actors have got their money, it is the producer who has to bear any loss, so Dil Raju is definitely thinking about this offer,” the source said.
