Jersey is an emotional ride: Shraddha Srinath

The best part of her role, Shraddha believes, is the emotional aspect of it.

Shraddha Srinath is all gung-ho about her debut film Jersey. Starring Nani, the actress says that the sports-drama, directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, is going to be an emotional ride for the audience. Talking about her role in the film, she reveals, “I play Sarah, Nani’s wife, a working woman. I fell in love with the role instantly after listening to the director’s narration.” She adds, “The chemistry between Nani and me has been portrayed wonderfully and shots that have the moments between us through his transformation as a cricketer are very moving.”

The best part of her role, Shraddha believes, is the emotional aspect of it. “There are several heart-touching moments that the couple goes through. As a partner, my character totally understands the psychological aspects behind his career change, etc. These are crucial scenes and they’ve brought out another facet in me as an actor. In short, I can say that Jersey will be an emotional ride. Director Gowtham’s narration was very inspiring, and he has definitely executed it like he had narrated it to me.” We asked her if she, too, feels determined to get into the sport after shooting for Jersey, and the actress replied, “Ï have played gully cricket and know about the game. However, I was just happy to watch the game and did not receive any training, unlike Nani.”
