After releasing the posters of Keerty Suresh and Samantha Akkineni, the makers of upcoming biopic Mahanati have released a still featuring Vijay Deverakonda. The actor plays the role of Vijay Antony in the film, which is based on the life of legendary actress Savitri. The still shows Vijay wearing a helmet and a checked shirt, while he smiles.
It is believed that Vijay is paired opposite Samantha in the biopic, which is being directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Swapna Dutt. Interestingly, Samantha, who plays the role of Madhuravani, will narrate the yesteryear actress’ story on screen while Vijay will play her love interest, informs a source. The source further reveals that Vijay plays a journalist in the film.
The lead role in the film is portrayed by Keerthy Suresh, and Dulquer Salmaan will be seen as Gemini Ganeshan. The film is currently in its post-production phase and will be released both in Tamil and Telugu on May 9.
