While the shooting of Akash Puri’s (director Puri Jagannadh’s son) next film, Romantic began some time ago, the filmmakers had not yet finalised the leading lady. But the film’s director Anil Paduri recently zeroed in on Ketika Sharma to play Aakash’s love interest. Apparently, the film’s producers Puri Jagannadh and Charmee wanted to introduce a new face to Tollywood. They felt that a new actress opposite Akash would make for an interesting on-screen chemistry. After chancing upon Ketika’s videos, she was chosen as the lead opposite Aakash.
A source informs, “Since the plot is a romantic entertainer and the actress has to play her age, Ketika did not take much time to say yes to the script after narration, and started shooting for her part from Monday in Goa.” Delhi-based Ketika, a popular name on social media and YouTube, is most famous for her video Thug life (2016). A model for several brands, Ketika also happens to be a singer.
Apparently, Puri ’s directorial, Ismart Shankar, is also being filmed in Goa currently.
