The recently launched Mountain Dew campaign with megastar Mahesh Babu as protagonist has been an instant hit and stormed the internet. Fans are pouring love from all across.

Deccan Chronicle spoke to Mahesh Babu to know how he’s feeling about all this love and adulation coming his way. “I’m extremely happy and grateful to see the response to the new film and the love and appreciation of fans. To have your hard work appreciated and see the success with a brand you believe in — nothing beats this combination,” says Mahesh Babu.

The high-octane TV commercial featuring was shot at the top of the world’s tallest building, Emaar’s Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The edge-of-the-seat film showcases the beverage brand’s belief that in the face of any challenge, there are two choices — either succumb to fear or overcome it and move ahead. And the choice of the real heroes set them apart from the rest.

Commenting on the action-packed film, Mahesh Babu said, “The moment I got my hands on the script, I knew it was going to be an exciting one. The storyline, the stunts, and the scale — just visualizing it gives you a thrill; and believe me, I had a great time shooting for it.”

Giving a message to all his fans, the megastar said, “I believe that everyone faces fear at some point in life and when you push boundaries, that’s when you overcome fear and truly emerge as a hero. If you fear something, try to overcome it by tackling the challenge head on. That’s the only way to win in life.”

Acknowledging the love of his fans, he further added, “My fans have been supporting me unconditionally in whatever I do, and I am what I am because of them. I have always said that, and I believe it with all my heart. I would like to thank them for their appreciation and love. I would also like to tell them that this is just the beginning. From here, it will only get bigger and better.”
