After several names did the rounds for the female lead in Nikhil Siddhartha’s Telugu remake of Kanithan, it looks like the team has finally zeroed in on an actress. Sources tell us that Megha Akash is being considered to reprise the role of Catherine Tresa from the original.
“The makers were in search of a young and notable face to pair opposite Nikhil. While a few debutantes were considered too, the makers have now decided to go with Megha, who seems keen to play the role too,” shares a source in the know.
While an official announcement is to be made, we hear that director T.N. Santosh who helmed the original is keen on bringing her on board too.
