The highly-anticipated Telugu film "Guntur Kaaram," featuring Mahesh Babu in the lead role, has finally hit the theaters, sharing its release day with another Telugu film ahead of the Sankranti festival. Despite the competition, the big-budget entertainer has achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing the final day 1 advance booking figures of the previous Mahesh Babu film, "Sarkaru Vaari Paata."
After a hiatus of one and a half years since his last release in 2022, the excitement and expectations surrounding Mahesh Babu's return are palpable. The festive season further adds to the anticipation, making it a lucrative period for the Telugu film industry.
As the film made its debut, special shows, starting as early as 1 am, were arranged to cater to the overwhelming fan frenzy. The response to the advance booking has been phenomenal, accumulating an impressive gross of 24.90 crores for day 1 (excluding blocked seats). This significant figure includes the sale of over 11.2 lakh tickets across the country.
The achievement becomes more notable as "Guntur Kaaram" has easily surpassed the opening day pre-sales record of "Sarkaru Vaari Paata," which stood at 20 crores gross in the final update.
