Exclusive: Surender Reddy turns advisor for Extra Ordinary Man?

Popular director Surender Reddy has turned advisor and reportedly suggested corrections in the recent release ‘Extra Ordinary Man’ starring Nithin and Sreeleela after watching the film a couple of times before the release. “The producers had full confidence in Surender Reddy and showed him the film. He watched it and came up with betterments and few of them were incorporated too,” says a source. He claims that even a few small-time directors also shared their opinions after watching the film and everything was noted,” he adds.

Despite many changes, the comic caper failed to impress the audience as the film couldn’t even draw decent enough openings. “It didn’t take off although the trailer evoked good response since it was loaded with fun,” he says and adds, "Nithin did a good job and evoked a few laughs, while Sreeleela has nothing much to do in this hero-driven film. However, the lackluster script and narration put paid to Nithin's plans of making a comeback of sorts,” he points out.

Interestingly, Surender Reddy’s last release ‘Agent’ turned out to be a damp squib but still, he was roped in as an advisor and we don’t know what kind of corrections he would have suggested. “Maybe, Surender Reddy shares a good relationship with Nithin and his family and he was asked to help them out. But unfortunately, the film hasn’t set the box office on fire,” he concludes.
