Readers might remember that the Balayya–Boyapati movie had officially launched a few days ago. Now, sources close to the project have revealed that the film’s budget is estimated to be nearly Rs 70 crore. While director Boyapati Sreenu is supposed to be taking a remuneration of Rs 15 crore, Balakrishna will get Rs 10 crore, a source tells us. Boyapati, who generally ropes in many Hindi actors for his films, is expected to do that even for this one.
But what’s got many wondering is what makes producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy put so much money on Balakrishna and if the producer can recover the high budgets set for the movie as Balakrishna’s films have not been a big revenue-generator of late.
Balayya’s upcoming film Ruler, which is supposed to hit the screen this month, is releasing with a Rs 15 crore deficit.
