Yatra, the biopic of former AP Chief Minister, the late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, is being directed by Mahi V. Raghav and has wrapped up shooting. Malayalam Superstar Mammootty is essaying the role of the late chief minister.
Filming the YSR biopic has been an emotional journey for the whole team. And everyone was moved by the end of Mammootty’s portion. The film’s director Mahi shares, “Mammootty isn’t just an actor but a legend who looks so simple. He understood the meaning of each and every word in Telugu and dubbed for his part. There were times he had to re-dub for perfection. I guess his approach to work makes him a legend. I cannot imagine any other actor other than Mammootty in the role of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. Working with him was not only a learning, but also a memorable experience.”
The entire shooting has been wrapped up and the political drama is gearing for release on December 21, on the eve of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s (YSR’s son) birthday.
