A film on Gulf's Telugu community
Award winning director Sunil Kumar Reddy, whose film, Gulf, is releasing on October 13, has revealed that he undertook enormous research and also spoke to nearly 400 people before making the film. He added that its subject is based on the problems faced by Telugu people in Gulf countries. “Most of the film was shot in Arab countries and we have even shot an Arabic song,” he says.
Highlighting the problems of the community, Sunil says, “Many scenes are inspired from real incidents, particularly the problems faced by women. We are also releasing the film with subtitles.”
The film revolves around a girl working in Arab and a boy from Sirisilla falling in love with each other. “But the main focus is on the problems,” says Sunil. Pulagam Chinnanarayana has made his debut as a dialogue writer with this film.
