DSP quits Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni
The much-touted 100th film of Nandamuri Balakrishna Gautamiputra Satakarni has been in the news for various reasons and the latest buzz is that top music director Devi Sri Prasad has quit from the project.
The makers of the period drama had approached the music director for they wanted an experienced hand. However, they were pressurising him to compose the songs, sources say.
“The makers are pressurising him to compose the songs as early as possible, but the busy music director wants to take his own time. Moreover, composing for a period film is not an easy task. So he asked them to look for someone else,” a source from the unit says. However, it is said that director Krish and DSP parted ways in good terms.
Now, the makers are looking for senior music directors M M Keeravani or Ilayaraja for the prestigious project. “Both Keeravani and Krish are long-time friends and Krish may request him to join the project,” says the source.
Some parts of the film are completed with some major war episodes shot in Georgia. The next schedule will begin on August 19. As Krish got married recently, he has taken a break. Balakrishna has started dubbing for his character. The film is expected to hit the screens in January for Sankranti
