A few days back, Akhil Akkineni had tweeted about his second movie with director Hanu Raghavapudi. His tweet read, “Hi guys ! Been working on a script with @hanurpudi almost done with pre production work. Very excited to finally start shoot soon.” However, the excitement seems to have been short-lived as the project won’t take off, if sources are to be believed.
After Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha, Hanu Raghavapudi was supposed to do two other films for 14 Reels Entertainment. “It was a three-film deal with the director and his second film too was supposed to have the same producer. But Akhil wanted to rope in some other producer and now, the project isn’t taking off,” says a source.
In a twist of tale, Akhil’s best friend Nithiin has expressed readiness to act in the same project. Raghavapudi has now replaced Akhil with Nithiin, adding a few minor changes to the story. The source also added that Akhil will sign a film directed by Maruthi, who will start the pre-production after the release of his film with actor Havish.
