Siddhu Jonnalagadda masters the Srikakulam dialect

Actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s next film is a romantic thriller under producer Suryadevara Nagavamsi

Even as Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s current Vimal-Krishna directorial, Narudi Bratuku Natana, is in the making, he has signed another film bankrolled by Suryadevara Nagavamsi. Incidentally, the producer is also bankrolling the above film too. The yet-untitled film, which is billed to be a romantic thriller with twists, is directed by Shourie Chandrasekhar T. Ramesh.

“The film will be predominantly set in a rural backdrop. The principal characters hail from Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam,” explains Shourie. Siddhu is expected to master the dialects of these places to add authenticity to his character in the film.

“Also, both the lead actors would soon have to master character-backdrop skills to make it look convincing. We are soon going to have a two-week workshop on how to prep for the roles, body language on how the characters behave, etc.,” says the director who is currently on a recce for locations.

Apparently, the film is about how a girl from a rural interior falls in love with a guy. And in the process, she realises that love is not everything — that there are more important things in life. “We cast Siddhu because of his previous performances and his agility to adapt to any character,” says the director, adding that the film will go on floors next month.
