Shooting for the much-awaited sequel to Guntur Talkies has finally begun. The film’s leading lady Nikesha Patel has undergone a makeover in preparation for her role in the film. She hopes to win over audiences with her new avatar.
“It is for the first time that I am playing a village belle in a Telugu film. I play a girl from Guntur and my antics, my body language and my way of expressing myself will hog the limelight.”
The actor says that she has been receiving compliments and messages of appreciation for her look. “Initially, when I was approached for the role, the filmmakers were a tad uncertain whether I would fit into the role. They are now overwhelmed by the response my look has been receiving,” she reveals.
She adds that though she will be seen in desi outfits, she will still look stylish. “It’s a glamorous role, but at the same time, I will sport a de-glam look as well. I will wear saris, half-saris and other desi outfits.”
