Amyra Dastur, who is currently awaiting the release of her Telugu film Rajugadu, has bagged another exciting project. The actress has been roped in to play the leading lady in the Hindi remake of the Telugu film Prasthanam. She recently gave the project a nod after hearing the script.
The film’s director, Deva Katta, who also helmed the original, was reportedly impressed by Amyra’s look and screen presence in previous films.
A source close to the unit reveals, “The filmmakers wanted an actress who could pull off the role with flair. After watching her previous films such as Kung Fu Yoga and Anegan, the director felt that Amyra would be perfect as the female lead. When the script was narrated to her, she was more than happy to come on board.”
The action-thriller, which will star and be co-produced by actor Sanjay Dutt, will go on floors soon....
