The film Mahanati has garnered much attention in recent times as it is based on the life of legendary actress Savitri. Moreover, since the last few months, everyone has been curious to know who will play the roles of NTR and ANR, both of whom have worked on many films with the yesteryear actress. And the good news is that Naga Chaitanya has agreed to play his grandfather, ANR’s role in the film!
“He has agreed to allot two days, March 14 and 15, to shoot the important scenes,” says a source.
The Savitri-ANR combination was a huge hit starting with films like Samsaram, Mayabazar, Devadas and Moogamanasulu to name a few. That is why the makers decided to recreate and shoot some important films from these films.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film’s shoot will be complete by March 21, and will then move to its post-production phase. “As reported earlier, NTR’s role will be screened using computer graphics,” added the source.
