Allu Aravind turns 70
Producer Allu Aravind turned 70 on Thursday in Goa, where he is enjoying a holiday. According to his close associates, the veteran filmmaker did not make a big deal about celebrating his birthday according to the date on the English calendar. He likes to go by the Telugu calendar. “He was born on Mukkoti Ekadasi, so every year he celebrates according to that tithi (Hindu Calendar) which was in December,” says the source. In fact, all his family members reunited for that event last year.
But some of his friends hosted a small party for him in Goa, because, to them January 10 is the day, added the source.
The producer is planning multiple projects in the coming days with young actors including son, Allu Arjun, and is listening to narrations from directors. After the holiday break, he will zero in on a few projects and make an announcement, added the source.
