Diresctor S S Rajamouli's epic plans
Director S.S. Rajamouli has big plans after the release of Baahubali 2. After previously mentioning that his dream projects are Garuda and Mahabharata, at a private event in Chennai recently, he said that his next project will be about the Mahabharata.
Though he didn't divulge any more details, he said that he will work on it once he completes working on the Baahubali saga. Even last year, the director had said that he wanted to make Mahabharata into at least a four part series. Interestingly, he took three years to complete Baahubali as it needed different kinds of sets and visuals. Even with the aid of computer graphics, it may take a minimum of ten years for the four-part film on Mahabharata to take shape.
“He is planning to make the film on par with Hollywood standards as it’s a dream project and a subject that many people know in the world. Mahabharata will be his life’s achievement and he may start as soon as everything is finalised,” says a source.
