Ex has no influence on Renu Desai's poetry

Pawan was part of her life for a mere 12 years.

Renu Desai springs a surprise! Apparently, she took to poetry recently and has penned down several poems in a book titled, A Love, Unconditional, based on her life experiences. The poems, which reflect Renu’s thoughts, touch upon various aspects of life including love, sorrow, social injustice, joy, hardships, emotions, etc. A source says, “Renu has always been fascinated with reading, right from her childhood. When she was sick and bedridden for four years, poetry came to her naturally and kept her company. She initially started posting poems on her social media account but after getting encouraging response, she grew in confidence and eventually penned this book.” The book, which contains 32 poems, has soulful and honest writing. Lyricist Anantha Sriram has translated the poems into Telugu. Some folks who have read the book point out that Renu’s poetry hardly shows any influence of Pawan. “How can it have? Renu drew on all her 38 years of life experience to pen these poems. Pawan was part of her life for a mere 12 years. It should not be surprising that his influence on her poetry is minimal,” says a close friend of Renu’s.
