At the recent success meet of Goodachari, special guest and actor Nagarjuna criticised himself and others in the industry for putting in enormous amounts of money into every film.
“Are we so inefficient and lazy in making films? Look at this film. Despite a limited budget, every scene is infused with richness. And although they shot for more than 15 days in my own Annapurna studios, I couldn’t find it in the film! I know each and every corner of the studio, but I am stunned to see how well they used it,” he said.
Further, the actor praised the young talent of the film. “They are the future of Telugu cinema and I want to sail with them,” said the actor, who listed Mahanati, Rangasthalam and Goodachari as impactful films made this year.
“These are the three films that made good money. I am not criticising the others, but these films made good money compared to their budgets,” said Nagarjuna, who also narrated how immersed he was with every scene in Goodachari. The actor praised his niece Supriya on her comeback while he complimented lead actress Shobita Dhulipala by saying, “She is too hot.”
