Actor Vijay Devarakonda, who turned a year older on Wednesday, found a unique way to celebrate the occasion. He hired three ice cream trucks to travel across the city and distribute ice creams.
The star wanted to bring smiles to the faces of as many people as possible. “The three trucks will cover the length and the breadth of the city. Anyone can come and get an ice cream for free. I will also be travelling on one of the routes for a few hours. I’ll make sure that all traffic cops and children on the road receive ice creams,” he said.
Vijay said that he was not used to celebrating his birthday. “I feel very awkward about receiving attention for the wrong reasons. I usually turn off my phone at midnight. I didn’t even choose to be born! It was my parents’ decision to have a child. Why should I take any credit for it? I like receiving attention for the things that I do, like a good film. This ice cream truck idea gives some meaning to the day,” he said.
