Is This The Story of Jr NTR's Devara? Koratala Spills The Beans

Ace director Koratala Siva says that he is happy to work with reigning star Jr NTR again in their much-hyped film ‘Devaara’. “NTR is one of best actors of our generation and I am quite fortunate to work with him again after our earlier blockbuster ‘Janatha Garage,” he said and added, “Our film is set in coastal and forgotten lands of India, where people are suffering under ruthless lords. They are fearless and behave like animals before the protagonist begins to instill fear in them with his brawn and brain to change things for better.”

No doubt, Koratala Siva is an expert in dishing out action films revolving around real-life incident and this film reportedly pegged around the ghastly Karamchedu (a place near Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh) incident that triggered a political storm in united Andhra Pradesh in 1985. “It created ripples since some Dalits were massacred to death and many suffered injuries over an attack by ruthless goons of upper caste besides leaving hundreds of Dalits homeless," says a source.

Earlier, Koratala made ‘Srimanthudu’ revolving around village adoptions when the issue was in vogue in society. He also got inspired by the real-life Naxal movement for his other big film ‘Acharya" with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. "Some movies inspired by real-life incidents always connect better with the audience since the pain and anguish suffered by victims and aggressors' fearless attitude are bound to look more real on screen," the source concludes.
