Director Ram Gopal Varma is always in the news for his controversial comments or tweets. The director recently created a controversy with one of his tweets, which he later deleted.
The tweet was about Akhil Akkineni and his impending marriage. He asked why the young actor is in such a hurry to marry, even before his film career takes off. “@AkhilAkineni8 Evn b4 a career takes off can’t understand why f**k u wanna land in marriage, (sic),” he tweeted.
Obviously, the tweet created a furore and was later deleted by RGV, but it became a big talking point on social media. Interestingly, in the morning, RGV had announced his international film project with a Rs 340 crore budget and earned praise from Nagarjuna.
“Very happy for @RGVzoomin doing a fantastic international project/Make us proud ramu (sic),” the actor tweeted. Varma responded to Nagarjuna’s tweet with, “Hey Nag, I owe 10 lifetimes to u for gvng break in Shiva to an amateur like me. That proves ur vision of me more than whether I have vision (sic).” Perhaps this tweet of Varma's was meant to compensate for his earlier controversial tweet.
