Makers of the Tamil version of Pawan Kalyan’s superhit film Attarinitiki Daredi are busy ensuring that they have a smashing cast in place for the project. After getting Simbu, Megha Akash and Catherine Tresa on board, we hear that they’ve roped in Ramya Krishnan to reprise Nadiya’s role in the original.
A source in the know reveals, “Since the role of the aunt is author-backed and significant to the narrative, the filmmakers have decided to cast someone who has looks as well as has grace. After watching Baahubali and Sailaja Reddy Alludu, director Sundar C. feels that Ramya Krishnan will be the ideal choice.”
Interestingly, it was the success of Attarinitiki Daredi that catapulted Nadiya’s popularity to greater heights, bringing many more Tollywood offers her way. Perhaps the Tamil remake will do the same for Ramya.
The film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and is currently being shot at a private studio in Hyderabad.
