Ravi Babu starts a pig farm for Adhugo
Ravi Babu’s upcoming film Adhugo features a piglet called Bunty as one of the central characters. The actor-filmmaker tells us that he had to get nearly 150 piglets to play the role! “Pigs grow very quickly, and you can see a difference within days. So we would shoot with one piglet for a couple of days, and then have to get a replacement. We had to use nearly 150 different piglets in the film,” he says.
The makers actually started their own pig farm for the purpose of the film, but we won’t actually get to see any of the little stars on screen. “We used actual piglets to capture movements, and then we re-created them using 3D animation. The animated version looks more real than a live pig!” Ravi says.
Having watched the recently-released trailer of the film, we can vouch for the fact that the animated piglet looks unbelievably real.
“The animation work is critical for this film, that’s why it has taken so long to complete,” the director adds.
The filmmakers have already sold the Hindi rights of the film for a fancy price.
