Mishti Chakraborty in Aadi Saikumar's film
Looks like Mishti Chakraborty is perfecting the art of balancing south Indian projects and Hindi projects. The actress, who has done Hindi and Telugu films in the past, has been signing Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil films of late. The latest we hear is that she has been cast opposite Aadi Saikumar in his forthcoming film, writer Ratnababu’s debut directorial venture.
Apparently, the search for a leading lady has been prolonged and difficult for the filmmakers. Since it’s a love story with a unique storyline, the director wanted to cast an actress who would be game to try out something different. He thought that Mishti, who has featured in several romantic entertainers, would be right for the part. “Mishti’s approach to filmmaking is clinical. Her attitude towards roles with different shades is what the filmmakers liked. But she’s yet to sign in on the dotted line,” a source reveals. The yet-untitled film is expected to go on floors soon.
