Producer Allu Aravind has joined forces with Madhu Manthena and Namit Malhotra for mythological film Ramayana, while Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame and Ravi Udyawar of Mom fame are set to direct the film.
“It’s a three-part series and the first one is expected to release in 2021,” says the filmmakers. Meanwhile, the budget for all these three parts is estimated to be nearly `1500 cr with simultaneous releases in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. “The casting is not yet finalised, but they are planning to take pan-Indian actors from different industries. They also intend to target the global audience with this mythological film series,” adds the source. “This is Allu Aravind’s dream project and he wants to make it big. After producing this mega-project, he may retire and hand over his job to his sons,” says the source.
