An actress who is known for getting into the skin of her characters, Sai Pallavi has taken up yet another performance-oriented role. She has been signed by director Venu Udugula of Needi Naadi Oke Katha fame to play the leading lady of his next film — a love story set against the political backdrop of the ’90s.
The director is said to have been on the lookout for a strong performer for the part. And Sai Pallavi has given the film her nod because she feels it will add a new dimension to her repertoire.
“The film has a strong romantic angle woven into a political scenario. Sai Pallavi is excited about the way in which her character drives the narrative. The plot also has commercial ingredients with elements of action and drama,” a source says.
The actress will join Venu’s project after wrapping up her current assignment, Padi Padi Leche Manasu opposite Sharwanand. Meanwhile, the director will finalise the male lead.
