The film industry finally responds!

In general, the film industry is quick to respond whenever a member of their fraternity dies. However, even a week after Dasari Narayana Rao passed away, there was no word from any of the film associations. After severe criticism for the same, a meet has now been held on June 10.

“Many artistes were abroad and couldn’t return in time, so we are holding the meet on June 10,” says producer C. Kalyan, adding that the industry will shut down for Dasari’s 11th day death ceremony.

“Producers have decided not to shoot this Sunday so that last tributes can be paid,” Kalyan adds. “All the associations (directors, producers and movie artistes association) have come together for this meet.”
