Sumanth Ashwin will soon be seen as a groom-to-be in Happy Weddings, Lakshman Karya’s next.
Talking about the project, the actor says, “Happy Weddings is about what happens in the three months before a couple gets married. The drama, the excitement, and the emotional moments shared by the soon-to-be bride and the groom have been portrayed in a candid manner.”
Sumanth says that his role has allowed him to explore new territory as an actor. “It gave me the opportunity to explore various emotions. Although it is the story of a bride and a groom, there’s drama surrounding a lot of other characters in the movie as well.”
As someone who has yet to experience marriage first-hand, was it difficult for him to play the part? Sumanth says it wasn’t.
“That’s the beauty of acting; you have to imagine the emotions of a character. I did not find it difficult to step into the role of a groom-to-be.”
