No more ‘bad luck’ for Rakul Preet Singh!
Rakul Preet Singh has been one of the top South Indian actresses and has done a fair amount of work in Bollywood as well. Unfortunately, however, the actress’ last few films have failed, owing to which she is now considered “bad luck” in the industry.
It all began with the film Spyder, in which she acted in the lead female role opposite Mahesh Babu. This was followed by a few more Tamil films. Kathanayakudu, the biopic on N. T. Rama Ramo, in which she played Sridevi’s role, also happened to fail miserably at the box-office. It has been a tough two years for the actress.
But now the game is about to change. Her upcoming film NGK, in which she has acted opposite Suriya, is releasing on May 31. Additionally, her upcoming Hindi film De De Pyaar De, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, is also releasing in May. Word is that she has delivered quite an impressive performance in this one.
The actress has also signed a film opposite Nagarjuna. She believes that it has an extraordinary script and is hoping for it to give her a much-needed break in the Telugu film industry.
It’s no shocker that a few movies are enough for the industry folk to label actors and actresses as bad fortune. Even Shruti Haasan and Kajal Agarwal have fallen prey to the judgmental nature of the film industry in the past. Just one hit is enough to change their fate and place them back on the road to success.
