Movie Artist Association membership denied

Sri Reddy's membership was denied because of her bizarre stripping act, and failing to abide by the association's rules.

Actress Sri Reddy’s semi-nude protest on Saturday against the Movie Artist Association (MAA) for denying her a membership has irked the latter. Responding strongly, MAA held a press conference wherein they rubbished her allegations.

MAA President Sivaji Raja said, “When Sri Reddy came to us for a membership, we welcomed her. We asked her to put the past behind, and told her that we were ready to help. We told her that she needed to pay Rs 1 lakh with two introductory references for obtaining the membership, and that her candidature would be discussed at the executive committee’s meeting. She even accepted it. But in a bizarre development, she went out of the office and stripped.”

He added, “Our executive committee has now decided not to pursue her membership, and we shall not extend our support to her further. We also caution other actors not to share screen space with her, failing which action will be initiated against them.
