Azharuddin's son debuts in Tollywood!
Former cricketer Azharuddin’s son Asaduddin, fondly known as Abbas is all set to make his Tollywood debut with Iddariki Kothaga, directed by K. Suresh Babu.
The director said that the film would be launched soon in a big way. “Azharuddin will attend the event along with many Tollywood and Bollywood stars,” said Suresh Babu.
This will be Suresh’s first film as director. He added that the film had three female leads opposite Abbas and they were still on the lookout for the right actresses.
Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Suresh Babu said that he has known Azharuddin and Abbas for five years. “I can’t reveal now how we became friends as I want to reveal that at the launch of the film,” he said, adding that he had been asking Abbas to join films for the last few years. “He didn’t agree initially, but I put pressure on him as he would perfectly fit into my story. Then Azharuddin called me one day and asked me to narrate the story,” said Suresh Babu.
After the narration, he reveals, Azhar didn’t say anything. “He called me a second time and asked me to narrate the story once again. He was then satisfied and agreed to launch his son,” said Suresh, adding that Abbas had been concentrating on cricket when Suresh had first approached him a few years back.
Suresh also revealed that Abbas was now learning a few tips about acting. “Abbas worked as an associate director on the Hindi biopic on Azhar that will release soon. So he has a basic knowledge about filmmaking and acting,” said Suresh.
He also said that Abbas speaks good Telugu. “Yes, he speaks and understands Telugu and I won’t have any problems with the language,” says the director.
He said that he cast Azhar’s son as the former cricketer is known internationally and it would be good promotion for his film.
