Taapsee Pannu learns Bengali for Ghazi

The actress hired a tutor to learn the language to get into the skin of her role of a Bangladeshi refugee.

Actress Taapsee, who’s been away from the Telugu screens for a really long time, is finally set to be seen in Ghazi. For her role of a Bangladeshi refugee, the actress has apparently put in a lot of effort to learn the regional language, Bengali.

“She wanted to learn the language as it would help her master the nuances of her character. Through the process of filming, she hired a Bengali tutor to help perfect the diction. She was very much into her character and in an effort to become even better, she kept watching Bengali films, and conversed in the language with friends to get the accent right,” reveals a source, adding, “Interestingly for her, a member of her staff was Bengali and that helped her even when she wasn’t on her film’s sets.”

For anyone who has followed the actress’ work, they must have noted that she has a penchant for languages. Because of her innings in Telugu and Tamil cinema, the Punjabi girl is well-versed in both the languages and has dubbed for herself too.
