Shortly after Balakrishna announced that he would shoot a biopic on his late father NTR, where he would play his father’s role, a lot of discussion took place.
Lakshmi Parvathi, the late actor’s second wife, objected to the biopic and even threatened to go to the court if they projected her as a villain. She added that she is ready to give her inputs for the film as she had even written a biography on the late actor.
But Balakrishna doesn’t want any help from her as he is clear about what he is doing. “I know where to start and end this film. We formed a committee that consists of people close to my father,” he says.
CCL founder, Vishnu Induri will be producing this biopic. “The story is about NTR and ends after he is sworn-in as the Chief Minister. The film is more like a commercial film. At the same time, they will portray NTR’s character in a more inspiring way,” says a source.
“They may not touch upon NTR’s political career. It’s a biopic and they can focus on a certain period from the person’s life instead of the entire life,” adds the source. The script work is almost complete and the director’s name will be revealed in a few days time.
