Drifting from the clichéd roles, actor Nagarjuna has recently acted in films with different subjects. His next is a devotional film Om Namo Venkatesaya.
“I am happy that I have worked with all my favourite people in this film. Whenever I need some help or I have a problem, I first call my best friend Mahesh Reddy.
I’ve known Raghavendra Rao from his film Akhari Poratam which steadied the early days of my career,” says Nagarjuna. He later on did more films with him. “It’s a beautiful experience working with Anushka, Pragya, Vimala Raman,” added the actor who had first visited Tirumala in his childhood with his mother.
“I visit Tirumala once after my films releases, so I always feel that Swami (Lord Venkateswara) is my friend and I always wish that everyone should be happy. I prayed to him during the last days of my mother when she was so unwell that she couldn’t recognise me. I wished Swami to take her away. Shortly, I got the news that she had passed away,” expressed an emotional Nagarjuna.
The second time he prayed for his father’s last film Manam to be a success. The film was a blockbuster. Nagarjuna feels he is blessed with a good wife and two good sons. “When I was in Tirumala, I heard the news about my two sons’ marriage, so he has given me everything in life,” says Nagarjuna.
The audio of this film was held in a complete devotional manner with Lord Venkateswara’s idol placed at the venue. The event was attended by Raghavendra Rao, Mahesh Reddy, Anushka, Pragya, Shobhu Yarlagadda, K.S. Prakash, Raghurama Raju, M.M. Keeravani, Jagapathi Babu, Chaitanya and Akhil among others.
