Filmmaker Nag Ashwin, who had directed the super successful film, Mahanati, has been working on developing a couple of story ideas. We have, in the meanwhile, learnt from sources that the filmmaker has shown interest in directing one of the episodes of the Telugu anthology that’s taking shape, on the lines of Lust Stories, which aired on Netflix. Nag Ashwin, we hear, was fascinated with the idea of exploring innovative writing on a different platform.
“Apart from getting a great space to explore writing, filmmakers also get an opportunity to introduce new and raw talent (casting-wise). As the Telugu audience has always appreciated content-driven films by emotion and freshness, Nag Ashwin wanted to give it a shot too,” shares a source with knowledge on the matter.
Filmmakers Sankalp Reddy, Tharun Bhascker and Nandini Reddy are working on the remaining three episodes of the Telugu anthology.
