After the success of Bichagadu, Tamil actor Vijay Antony has become a sensation of sorts in the Telugu industry and his upcoming film, Betaludu has already got good table profits, even before its release.
The actor was unknown here till Bichagadu released in May and went on to rake in great moolah after the film collected more than Rs 20 crore after being bought for a mere Rs 50 lakh. Ever since, Vijay Antony has been in demand, and that impact is showing on his next, Betaludu.
The Telugu producers bought the rights for Rs 3 crore and the film has already done a roaring pre-release business in all areas, giving them table profits. The music of the film was released recently and Vijay Antony attended the function along with his family members. His wife Fatima is the producer for all his films while the actor himself has provided the music for this film.
Interestingly, a ten-minute footage of his film was shown to those present at the function. This has created curiosity about the film and guests, including Boyapati Srinu, Nikhil, Bellamkonda Suresh and others, predicted another success for the actor.
“I never expected this response. Usually an actor gets such a reception after 20-25 films, but I am glad people here have accepted me just after my third film,” said Vijay, adding that he is excitedly waiting the release.
