Colors Swathi talks about Shakespeare's plays

After a gap, she returned with Telugu film Month of Madhu' which received mixed response.

Pretty actress Swathi Reddy, alias Colors Swathi, claims that a prison in Europe adopts a unique counseling therapy. “The jailers in that prison conduct theatre workshops for dreaded inmates as a process of counseling. They enact Shakespeare plays with dreaded murderers and ruthless gangsters. As the inmates are discarded by society for their heinous crimes, they are made to feel high by enacting the role of Kings and soldiers in those workshops. Which not only boosts their morale but also helps them to shun suicide thoughts, if any. That is the power of theatre and cinema," said the actress at an event of her film ‘Month of Madhu’.

She also talks about Telugu girls not finding good space in Tollywood and adds, “I am not a feminist but confining a girl to just take care of her husband and cook him good food is unfair,” she added. She claims to have suffered a lot due to baseless rumours about her making rounds on various media.

In fact, the torch-bearer of Telugu speaking girls, Swathi swayed Telugu audience with her performances in films like ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verlue’, ‘Swamy Ra Ra’, ‘Karthikeya’ and ‘Panchatantram’ to carve a niche for herself in Tollywood. After a gap, she returned with Telugu film ‘Month of Madhu’ which received mixed response.
